About Krista
Hi, I'm Krista! Having attended a French school for the majority of my life and spending each of my summers in France, I have a deep understanding of both the language and its culture. I love people, and that is why I have a passion for tutoring, because it enables me to connect and meet new people, whilst also helping them achieve their goals! I believe French is such a beautiful language, so I want to share the gift of the language with as many people as possible. Having lived in London, Singapore, Sydney and Edinburgh, I've connected with all sorts of people from all over the world, making me an adaptable and approachable tutor!

My approach to tutoring is relaxed and student-led. I focus on building confidence through conversation and everyday phrases, rather than through heavy grammar drills. I ensure the activities are as engaging as possible, since the most efficient learning often happens when it's also fun. I aim to create a positive space where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. I tailor each session to the student’s goals—whether that’s improving school grades, preparing for a vacation abroad, or simply becoming more comfortable speaking. Lessons typically last 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on what works best for the student. My lessons are ideal for beginners to intermediate learners, including school students, casual learners, or adults returning to French after a break. If you're looking for a supportive and friendly tutor to help you grow your French skills without pressure—I would absolutely love to help!
