I am tutoring A level and GCSE student of Psychology, Sociology and Business studies.
I finished my A-Levels just two years ago so it is still very fresh in my mind. I now study an undergraduate Law degree at the University of Warwick which has taught me how to study independently and as a group very effectively which has given me lots of new learning styles. It also means that my essay writing and research skills are very good, making me useful for exam/essay writing preparation.
I have experience of working with sixth form students from working on university open days and mentoring students on University outreach programmes.
I have all of my own study notes and materials available. I have been studying for many years so I know lots of ways to make learning interactive and more fun.
I'm happy to give guidance on what students feel they need help with. Otherwise, it's important to gain an understanding of the content and prepare for exams by looking at example papers and questions. I make the lessons interactive by giving tasks to do to help understanding of they key concepts and allowing students to suggest what it is they need guidance on.
I'm also happy to look over things that students have already prepared and give advice and feedback on that.
