About Laurent
Hey I'm Laurent! I am a graduate of MA Graphic Design from Central Saint Martins (UAL), with 7 years of industry experience working as a designer, designing strategy-driven, bold, playful branding systems for clients worldwide. My design clients range from large-scale music festivals to AI companies.
I have extensive experience teaching design and computation, inside and outside of university. Previously, I tutored Interaction Design at the National University of Singapore.
I also hold 2 Bachelor's from the same university: BSc Computer Science and BBA Business Administration. I plan to pursue a PhD and PGCE in Art and Design, continuing to teach design and computation at a UK university.
I have exhibited my work internationally, including at Antwerp Mansion, Manchester (2024); Offprint, London (2024); and Singapore Art Book Fair (2021). My work was featured in Evening Standard, Dazed, Bricks Magazine and more.

I want students to leave my lessons feeling confident and inspired! I enjoy building students' confidence, helping them grow in a direction they love.
My lessons are tailored to each student, emphasising personalised attention. The first lesson will be getting to understand you as a student, your goals and interests related to graphic design. Thereafter, I will develop a personalised curriculum to help you achieve your goals ️
Previous students shared that they love how encouraging I am, and that I am great at simplifying complex tasks for them – I always try to find the easiest first step for my students.
I take pride in providing detailed feedback. I believe giving and receiving feedback are core skills in design: I am committed to constantly growing these skills.
I have strong expertise in graphic design / digital art from both theoretical and practical perspectives. It doesn't matter if you're a complete beginner or have a few years of experience, I am ready to support you however you need!
My expertise includes:
Adobe Photoshop, Figma, graphic design principles, creative coding, interaction design, providing design portfolio reviews, essay/ dissertation support, design industry mentorship, and much more.
I hope to offer a safe and supportive space outside of traditional academic institutions. As a tutor, I've worked inside and outside of university with very diverse students, from all walks of life. I am especially sensitive to supporting the needs of neurodiverse, BPOC and queer individuals like myself.
