I have a Bachelor degree in Commerce with an accountancy major. I spent 30 years in the field of company accounting before I changed career and taught ESL in Shenyang in Liaoning province of China for 8 years after getting a certificate IV in TESOL

The teacher can only encourage and inspire and correct, the student must do the learning. I create a relaxed humorous environment within which the student(s) can practice what they have learnt. I believe students improve better when they feel confident and safe to take risks and make mistakes as the best way to learn is by doing.

My lessons are tailored to the student's needs. The above rate is for conversational English. Written English requires more preparation such as checking the student's written work so there will be a higher rate for this., depending on the student's level of English.
Please note: I do not have a car so if you need lessons at your home, you need to let me know the public transport options
