About Valerie
I was born in Slovakia, then spent most of my life in Portugal until I moved to Ireland to go to university. I moved around a lot when I was younger so it was hard for me to do very well in school as I struggled with catching up and keeping up, but I found that when you have a dedicated teacher who teaches to spread knowledge in a way everyone can understand it makes it so much more enjoyable. So I want to be that person that can help others.

My approach to tutoring is friendly, patient and personalized. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and are given explanations that make sense to them.
I adapt each lesson to the student's level, learning style and goals.
Lessons are typically 1 hour, but I can be flexible depending on the student's age and needs.
I have experience tutoring a younger student and can help with English, Portuguese, Biology, Math, homework and study support. My lessons are mainly aimed at primary and lower-secondary students.
