About Kunn Binn
I grew up speaking Mandarin, and I've been living and working in Ireland for a few years now, so I know what it's like to learn a language from both sides — as a native speaker and as someone figuring things out in a new country.
By day I work in international trade, dealing with suppliers and customers across China and Europe, so I use Chinese and English constantly. I studied Statistics at UCD, and I'm someone who likes things clear and well-structured, which tends to show in how I teach.
I've always enjoyed helping people learn — explaining things until they finally click is honestly one of my favorite feelings. I'm patient, easy to talk to, and I'd rather you actually enjoy the lessons than dread them. If you're curious about Chinese, let's have a chat and get started.

Hi, I'm a native Mandarin speaker living in Cork. I teach one-to-one, in person or online, and I keep things relaxed — we go at your pace.
Beginners, I start with pinyin, tones and everyday phrases so you can actually say something early on. For Leaving Cert students I focus on the oral, listening and the portfolio, and we work through past papers so nothing catches you off guard on the day.
I also work in international trade, so I can show you how Chinese is really used at work, not just in a textbook.
Lessons are usually an hour, and the first one's free so we can chat about what you want and see if we click.
