About Siena
I have played the piano for 16 years, and have developed a great love for teaching others how to play.
Passionate about playing the instrument and understanding the theory that comes with it, I bring an enthusiasm to lessons that I often wasn't provided with when I first started learning myself.
Having had a strict and dull teacher in the first few years of taking piano classes, I now realise the importance of creating a learning environment which is relaxed and fun for students to progress in.
Seeing my pupils thrive as the lessons go by is incredibly rewarding and I always look forward to encouraging growth and confidence in those of all ages and abilities.
I'm a warm and patient individual who will always support you in our lessons together.

I am a patient, enthusiastic teacher who will support you through whatever stage of learning you're at. Having taught students of varying ages and abilities for three years, I am adept at tailoring sessions to suit ones specific needs.
In our lessons, you can expect to cover a range of fields both theory and practical based. You can expect to learn the fundamentals such as reading notes, understanding rhythms and distinguishing dynamics, to more advanced aspects such as perfecting articulation and mastering complex pieces and scales.
I provide constructive feedback throughout lessons, taking the time to work on specific points to really enhance your ability to make corrections. I will support you in tackling pieces you want to learn for fun too!
For students working towards piano exams, I will guide you through the ABRSM spec, breaking examinations down so you feel as prepared as you can be before the big day. All components from sight-reading, to performing scales and pieces, to completing aural exercises will be covered in detail and any concerns you may have will always be addressed.
You can expect our sessions to be concentrated but light-hearted and enjoyable. Having a strict piano teacher in my first few years of learning taught me much about how to engage students effectively. Finding lessons unenjoyable due to dull routine and little opportunity to learn at my own pace, I now realise the importance of creating a safe and fun environment for students to progress.
I have loved forming bonds with students in the three years I've tutored piano and I look forward to connecting with new pupils through our love of music!
