About Elizabeth
Hi! I'm Lizzy, and I graduated from Oxford last summer with a degree in French and German. As a former languages student, I understand the challenges of language learning - and how to overcome them. I spent a year as a secondary school teacher in Austria, and have worked with children as young as 8 as a private tutor. Parents, children, and other teachers have given me great feedback about my adaptability, patience, and creativity. I want to help you improve your language ability while discovering the joy of learning French.

I believe learning languages should be fun! I blend traditional, curriculum-oriented teaching with creative activities and storytelling. I've seen my students grow from shy, disengaged learners to confident speakers achieving great results. My lessons are 45 minutes to an hour, and I focus on working with children and young people (KS2-KS5)
I can help boost GCSE and A-level performance, and enrich the pupil's experience and knowledge of French and Francophone culture beyond the curriculum. My lessons typically involve creative activities and topics tailored to the child's interests - helping them to get more from their education than a classroom environment can provide.
I have taught both in-school and online, and am able to adapt my lessons for complete beginners and advanced young learners.
