As a dedicated and enthusiastic S3 student, I bring patience, clarity, and genuine care to every lesson I teach. With an average of 88.6% in maths, I have a strong understanding of the concepts taught in primary school, and I use this knowledge to explain ideas in a simple, friendly, and relatable way.My approach is calm, encouraging, and fully tailored to each child. I believe that young learners make the best progress when they feel supported, understood, and confident. During lessons, I use clear step-by-step explanations, practical examples, and gentle guidance to help students build strong foundations in maths. I always make sure they feel comfortable asking questions and taking their time.
Lessons typically last 45–60 minutes, depending on the child’s age and focus. I focus on making maths feel clear, calm, and enjoyable for young learners. My lessons are designed to build confidence step by step, using simple explanations, real-life examples, and lots of positive encouragement. I always adapt my teaching style to each child’s pace, making sure they fully understand a topic before moving on.
I use a mix of techniques including guided practice, visual methods, games for younger pupils, and short problem-solving tasks to help strengthen understanding. My goal is to help children feel proud of their progress and comfortable asking questions.
A typical lesson lasts 45–60 minutes, depending on the child’s age and attention span. I keep sessions structured but friendly, with a balance of teaching, practice, and review.
I am an S3 student averaging 88.6% in maths, and I understand the curriculum very well because I’m learning it myself. This helps me explain concepts in a way younger pupils relate to.
