About Joanna
I am a student who has been giving private maths lessons for 7 months with a variety of students, all at different stages. They all express their gratitude for the help they have received and are reaping the results of all their work through improvement in their current grades and moving up sets/classes in school.
I have achieved a grade 9 in Edexcel GCSE maths and therefore have lots of practical experience to help guide students through their exams.

With recent experience in the 1-9 GCSE exam, I am able to easily relate to the situations of my students, allowing for more personalized lessons. I teach anyone at GCSE level who is focused and ready to progress. My teaching method is relaxed yet organised. I approach each new topic as if it was a foreign language: understanding what the student does and does not know and introducing any new information slowly, ensuring the student fully understands. We then build upon this foundation, going through different types of questions and increasing the difficulty.
