About Mahmoud
Hi! I'm a 4th year Medical student at UCL with a strong academic background, including A*A*A* at A-level in Biology, Chemistry and Maths, and 10 Grade 9s at GCSE. I began tutoring because I genuinely enjoy helping others improve - seeing students gain confidence and achieve their goals is incredibly rewarding. I tutor GCSE and A-level Chemistry and am known for being patient, understanding and able to break down tricky topics clearly. Whether you're aiming for a top grade or just trying to make sense of a difficult subject, I'm here to support you every step of the way. Looking forward to working together!

My aim is to deliver Chemistry sessions that are lively, interactive, and focused on helping you secure top grades. I’ve spent the last year tutoring GCSE and A-level Chemistry, guiding students to achieve results they were proud of. In our first session, we’ll cover a topic of your choice so I can understand your current level and learning style. From there, I’ll create a personalised approach that supports consistent progress throughout the year. My teaching focuses on making connections between topics, sharpening exam technique, and using proven methods like active recall and spaced repetition to strengthen memory and understanding. Lessons are typically one hour, but I’m flexible and happy to adjust based on your needs. As a current medical student, I also understand how Chemistry fits into broader scientific study and can offer light support with medical school applications, personal statements, or interview preparation if needed.
