About Amber
I trained at Bush Davies School of Theatre Arts under Joyce Percy, and was trained by renowned teachers such as Heather Fish, Alex Morrow, Alfreda Thorogood and Joy Camden to name but a few.
I am eternally grateful for the wonderful teaching I received – and to be able to pass on and share the passion, joy and commitment for this wonderful art to others.
I graduated with my associate qualification in teaching (AISTD distinction) in Ballet & Jazz, and after a short spell performing in Europe, I performed and taught in a large and exciting new Dance Center in Scotland for 4 years.
In 1990, I opened my own dance school with the aim of providing high quality ballet tuition to students, allowing them to pursue a career in dance if they wished whilst nurturing the fun and joy of dance with high-level quality training for those who wished to keep it as a hobby. The school flourished, with students undertaking exams in both ISTD and RAD, as well as taking part in competitions and festivals. Many of my students were able to follow their aspirations to Vocational Schools, including White Lodge, Elmhurst, Tring Park, Doreen Bird College and Laine Theatre Arts.
More recently, I have taught on a freelance basis while bringing up my family. I am passionate about ballet, both the expressive nature of this art and my desire to teach it carefully and correctly, combining technique and artistry in a nurturing environment.

*PLEASE NOTE*: Lessons take place in dance studio space in Guildford area, not at the student's home.
The sessions are bespoke and one-on-one, tailored to suit your needs. You will be challenged whilst being supported mentally and physically to achieve your dance goals.
Whether you are looking to improve a certain aspect of your ballet, preparing for an exam or audition, or a complete beginner; I will work with you in a positive and encouraging manner to help you reach your goals.
Perhaps you are looking for a fresh perspective, or to build confidence. I will be guided by your needs, checking in with you in every session to ensure we are focusing on your priorities and that you feel you are benefiting from the work we are doing together.
I am fully committed to bringing out your potential in a safe,
non-competitive environment, where your physical and emotional wellbeing will be my priority.
