About Avery

I am a fully qualified primary teacher originally from Canada. I have taught in primary schools from Kindergarten/Reception to Grade Six/Year Six. I have worked with students with special needs, and those with reading and language difficulties. I can help you achieve your goals! Whether you need help preparing for a test, or just need that extra support to get a jump ahead in school, I can be there. I offer a friendly, welcoming learning environment where my end goal is your success. Students I have worked with have had improved reading levels, and better self confidence! Give me a shout if you are interested! I look forward to working with you!

About the lesson

The methods I use for teaching focus on ensuring total success for everyone involved. I look to see the differences in my students as a positive. We all learn differently and it is something we should all embrace! I can give my lessons to any one from Primary level, up to an adult to assist with rhetoric, speech writing and resume/CV building. I take the opportunity to get to know my students as a professional. I build a rapport with them as a way to use their interests as a learning tool. For example, a students who has difficulty or a dislike in reading, I will see what subjects they are interested in to encourage them to read. My work takes into account students learning abilities, and tailors them to suit what they need in order to succeed.

My hope for you is that we can work together to achieve your success. Anything is possible with hard-work, dedication, and perseverance!

Cancellation Policy:
If travel: Half of total tutoring cost must be paid.
Webcam: Hald of tutoring cost must be paid if cancelled less than 1 hour before scheduled time.
In person: Half of total tutoring cost must be paid if cancelled less than 2 hours before scheduled time.
