About Deborah
My passion for 'all things English' has enabled me to successfully help many students over the years to pass exams with high pass grades. However, I believe that studying is also about engaging with your subject; enjoying your learning journey (because a journey is exactly what it is!) and growing in confidence as you become more and more able. I want you to feel relaxed, yet alert... I want you to look forward to your sessions with me and end them on a high. I want you to feel that each week that you are growing in confidence and each week your knowledge is expanding continuously.

My lessons are student centred; informative, engaging and fun. A typical lesson is usually one hour, though I am flexible if you require a shorter or longer time. I have a BA(Hons) in Literature and CELTA certificate for ESOL. Teaching and tutoring English, in its many forms, is my passion. I feel personally responsible for your learning and it is my job to arm you with as many skills as possible to learn in a responsive and mature manner enabling you to pass exams or learn English, with confidence and success. I also teach conversational skills to speakers of other languages - these sessions are always communicative and fun! I am extremely experienced in teaching students from age 11 - adults and fully experienced in the following exam boards: AQA, EDEXCEL. EDUQAS, OCR & CAMBRIDGE - GCSE & A Levels IELTS, FCE, CAMBRIDGE for EFL
