About Rachel
I’m a dedicated and enthusiastic science teacher with five years of experience, currently working at a leading all-girls boarding school where I’m involved in both academic teaching and pastoral care. I hold a PGCE in Secondary Science and have recently completed an MA in Education, reflecting my commitment to ongoing professional development. I’ve taught Key Stage 3 Science, GCSE Biology and Chemistry (AQA and Edexcel), and A-level Chemistry and Biology (OCR), as well as delivering the biology components of A-level PE. I aim to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions, challenge themselves, and make real progress. My experience in boarding means I understand the importance of supporting the whole student—both in and out of the classroom—and I bring this holistic approach to my tutoring.
