I base my teaching on individual needs. I believe Maths has to be understood in the real world before on paper. I aim to make learning interactive.
I trained as a PE teacher in 2005. I then taught in a variety of schools and locations. I decided to add to my expertise and completed a top up for teachers so I could teach Maths to GCSE level in 2014.
I would certainly recommend Rosie; her commitment to supporting young people fulfil their potential is evident and I believe this encourages both engagement and enthusiasm to learn.
Rosie has worked on maths with our daughter over the last two years, to prepare her for her GCSEs this Summer. Our daughter’s confidence had absolutely flown during this time. Rosie has tailored each session brilliantly to support each stage of her learning. She combines the necessary coverage for the GCSE papers with fun, confidence-building games - a winning combination!
Rosie has been my daughter's maths tutor for over a year, supporting towards her GCSEs.
Rosie has a very engaging style and adapts the pace to work alongside my daughter in addition to ensuring that the work undertaken in the tutor sessions is in line with the topics being covered at school. This has helped my daughter gain confidence, as well as increasing the grade she is now on track to get.
Rosie very quickly gained the confidence of my daughter, who had some difficulties in the school system and had to be home schooled. Her relaxed style and very approachable personality was perfect to put her in the right mood for learning. Rosie turned my very anti teacher daughter into a keen student in a very short space of time. And seeing that learning need not be conflicted and dramatic has helped her chug through her other subjects more positively too. Cannot recommend Rosie highly enough.
