Over the last year or so, I have taught almost 50 students. Some in small groups, others in individual lessons. No two students are the same and as it turns out no two lessons should be the same either.
A typical lesson works as follows. At the start of each lesson, we develop and agree a lesson plan together. We then work through the topics through a combination of diagrams, stories and discussions. Towards the end of the lesson we will work through some practice questions and test what we have learnt!
Before tutoring, I worked as a professional Economist for Deloitte and before that, I completed a Masters' degree at the University of Warwick. I find that this professional and academic experience complements each other well and provides a wealth of experience and examples for me to draw upon during lessons.
Economist (Senior Associate), Deloitte LLP, 09/2015 – 10/2017
The Deloitte economic consulting team applies economic theory and industry expertise to provide solutions to issues confronting their clients. During my time at Deloitte:
- I worked with Google to produce a report that summarised the potential impact of stricter regulations in the EU's digital content market on consumers and businesses.
- I worked with a charity called Blue Sky Development to estimate their social and economic impact of their work, which is to provide ex-offenders with 6-12 month employment contract.
- I worked with the Regulation and Supervision Bureau for Abu Dhabi to develop their new regulatory price controls for 2018-2022.

Ross tutored me (and two other students) for the managerial economics module of my MBA. We feel incredibly lucky to have found him! Super knowledgable and able to translate even the more complex topics into simple terms... but most importantly very easy to get along with which made the whole learning process all the more enjoyable. I highly recommend him.
Ross has been the best tutor I've ever had. He basically taught me my entire graduate degree Economics module. I definitely learnt more from Ross than I did during my lectures at Uni. Ross is really organized with his lesson plan and he notices what my weaknesses are so we can work on them. He's also incredibly patient and explains concepts really well. He knows his stuff, and I feel more confident going into my exams this week than I did last fall. BEST TUTOR EVER!
Ross gave me 10 hours of excellent, in-depth and personalised tuition, focusing on my areas of weakness and helping my analytical skills in the subject. Without making me feel second rate, he helped to grow my confidence enabling me to apply my knowledge without fear of failure. He's clear, calm and was comfortable to be around. I would recommend his services without hesitation.
