About Diego
Hi, I'm Diego, a 20-year-old soccer player and coach currently studying at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB). I’m also part of the CSUSB Men's Soccer Team, where I’ve had the honor of being named Most Improved Player and CSUSB Men’s Soccer Rookie of the Year. I graduated from Cathedral High School, where I was fortunate enough to be part of the team that won the CIF State Championship—a memorable achievement that fueled my passion for the game and my desire to continue pushing my limits. As both a player and coach, I bring a deep understanding of the game, from the fundamentals to advanced strategies, and I’m passionate about helping others grow as athletes. Whether I’m on the field or in the classroom, I’m always looking to improve, learn, and challenge myself—qualities I hope to pass on to every player I train. With my experience and dedication to the game, I focus on creating a positive, fun, and challenging environment for young players, helping them develop their skills, confidence, and love for soccer. As a 20-year-old soccer trainer and player, I offer a unique and fresh approach to coaching that combines energy, relatability, and modern techniques. I understand what it's like to be a young athlete, and I know how important it is to keep training both fun and effective. My coaching style is built on creating a positive, engaging environment where kids feel excited to learn, improve, and grow.
I bring current, real-world experience to every session, as I’m still an active player. This means I can pass on the latest techniques and strategies that work today, ensuring your child receives the best training possible. Whether it’s mastering basic skills or improving match-day decision-making, I tailor each session to meet your child’s individual needs and skill level.
Training with me means more than just improving soccer skills; it’s about building confidence, resilience, and teamwork. I foster a growth mindset where mistakes are seen as learning opportunities, and every player’s progress is celebrated.
In a typical session, kids warm up with dynamic drills, practice essential techniques (like passing, dribbling, and shooting), then put it all into action with small-sided games. It’s fun, fast-paced, and tailored to develop both technical skills and game awareness.
