About Ewan
Hi, I'm Ewan!
I first picked up the guitar over 16 years ago and it remains one of the best decisions of my life. As a kid raised on all things rock, emo and metal, the guitar always appealed to me. The joy of learning to play the songs that inspire you never goes away, and having a creative outlet to express yourself is something you just can't beat. I've had a great time over the years playing in bands, writing songs, and continuing to grow as a player. Now I want to help you to do the same!
Far too many people I've met say that they want to learn guitar but that they're no good at it or simply never got round to it. What I bring to my teaching is the ethos that learning an instrument doesn't have to be stressful, it's more than okay to make mistakes, and there's no pressure for you to be a wizard right out of the gate. In fact, you can make some amazing music with skills you'll learn right at the start - what's important is that you have fun in the process and take pride in yourself as you conquer each hurdle along the way to becoming the player you always dreamed of being. It's my job to help you get there and to support you in making the most of your musical potential.

- Lessons are aimed at complete beginners, through to intermediate players looking to improve their chops.
- Students are encouraged to bring along some songs that they want to learn. These will serve as goals to work towards in our lessons, and milestone achievements as your playing progresses.
- Structure and content is adapted to the needs and goals of each student, ensuring that you have a fun and engaging musical journey while learning at a pace that's right for you.
- Typical lessons last 30 minutes to an hour, depending on what works for the student.
