About Kelsey
I have been tutoring primary and high school students throughout my degree for the past 3 years.
All of my students began lacking the confidence in their own ability to succeed in science and/or maths, and with my help I was able to provide them with the knowledge and skills to boost their confidence using their own initiative to overcome any problems they may face.
I have had a student in the lowest maths set at school progress into the highest set in her year, in the space of a few months.
While I have also boosted grades from C's to A's, alongside increasing my students confidence in their abilities in time for exams.

Hi, I’m Kelsey! I’m a confident and strategic final year BSc.(Hons) Cell Biology student at the University of Stirling. I have also studied BSc. Biology at California State University Monterey Bay. I am an approachable person who is eager to help and keen to learn. I enjoy portraying my enthusiasm and fun approach to learning to children and young adults. Having grown up surrounded by family members with Dyslexia and other learning difficulties, I have a very patient approach to my teaching, I understand that not every student will learn the same way. I have developed many strategies over the years to help myself and other students who were struggling, loosing hope and felt as though they “couldn't do it”, when all they needed was the support and guidance to be shown how! Whether experimenting with different coloured pens, highlighters, paper styles, post-its or flash cards, I can help my pupils develop their own strategy and learning style that is best suited to them, and help them achieve the best results they can, while making learning a fun experience!
I am proficient in teaching Biology and Geography to Higher Level, and am more than capable of teaching National 5 Mathematics, English, Chemistry and Physics. I can also use my fun teaching style to engage with primary school children to build their confidence and improve their skills in Maths, English and Science.
