About Penelope
I am a safe space. In order for you to learn English, you should trust your teacher! It is so important to me to have a strong relationship with my students and their parents, if applicable. I am here to answer questions, clarify things, and encourage at-home discussions about how English learning is going and if anything needs to change. I always want someone to feel comfortable and confident in my abilities and in who I am as a person.

I am a strong believer in conversation being the best way for someone to learn a new language. Truly immersing yourself and challenging yourself to speak, even if it's not perfect! Learning a new language can feel vulnerable and scary but I am a safe space to ask questions and get things wrong sometimes.
While conversation is a great way to learn, I am more interested in how you learn best. We are all different in how we obtain information and I want to meet you wherever you are in your studies to help you succeed in whatever way success looks like to you!
I am expressive, easy going, fun, and patient. I love to teach young children because they absorb information so quickly and it's so fun to watch them learn and grow! If you have a little one, under the age of 5, who is trying to learn English, I am a perfect tutor for your family!
