I like to define myself a language enthusiast!
I was born in Italy and I have lived and studied there for most of my life.
I am currently a student of Modern Languages at the University of Glasgow and I will graduate on June 2017 with a MA Spanish.
Over the course of my degree I studied Portuguese with excellent results and I am currently following a course of Russian for beginners.
I realise everyone approaches a foreign language for very different reasons and needs. Therefore, despite considering the knowledge of grammar fundamental, I am very flexible in my teaching and I adapt to individual specific needs.
I have been teaching Italian as a foreign language in collaboration with Language4Water for an academic year.
4Water is a student-led project which donates all the money raised to WaterAid, a company who provides water to children in poor countries.
I was responsible of the beginners course and I had five students in my class.
My teaching included grammar and 'fun' activities to consolidate the grammar points taught. By the end of the course my student were able to express themselves in the present and past tense using a basic vocabulary.
I am currently working as a Videogame Tester Localizer for Spanish and Italian.
My job consists in Identifying spelling, grammar, punctuation and other language errors in videogames.
Ensuring console manufacturer guidelines are adhered to
Logging details of errors/issues found and providing suggestions for improvements.
I am currently attending my last year at the University of Glasgow, graduating with a MA Spanish on June 2017.
