Gap Year Student Offering Physics and Maths Tuition up to A-Level in Reading

Methodology

I am confident teaching maths and physics from primary to A Level. In the past I have prepared students for 11+ exams, SATs, GCSEs and AS examinations. I am happy to offer classes in groups or do one-to-one sessions.
My teaching style focuses on positive reinforcement, encouraging problem solving and active engagement in sessions

Experience

Hi I'm Emily, a gap year student hoping to study Physics at University. I have just finished A-Levels in Maths, Further Maths and Physics (awaiting results, predicted AAA). I have been a tutor at Bright Young Things for the past year where I teach maths, English and science to students aged 5-13 (both 1-to-1 and in groups). I also have experience in A-Level maths tuition, and teaching English to adults. I have an Enhanced DBS check.

PERSONAL PROFILE

I am a friendly, empathetic gap year student. I am self-motivated, have taught myself the majority of the OCR A2 Maths specification and achieved an A grade in this qualification. I was an inpatient in hospital for just over a year. During this time, I developed a sense of empathy and I have become a good listener. I have learnt to encourage people when they have felt overwhelmingly challenged and have made friends with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds. I am now looking for a career where I can enhance these skills and develop new ones.
