About Eliza
Hi, I'm Eliza. I'm currently studying Social and Political Sciences at the University of York. At school I was a highly achieving student getting an A in A-level English Literature and a grade 9 in GCSE English Language. At school I was a senior prefect which included tutoring some students in English and I loved helping other students which is why I wanted to start tutoring.

I offer 1 hour length lessons. My teaching methods would include discussing particular struggles for the student and targeting these areas. To do this we would go through practice exam questions and learn how to produce effective answers to gain marks. Within this we would also look at effective ways to read, process and analyse extracts and exam texts to increase understanding in the exam. We would also explore effective revision methods. I have previous experience as a tutor for GCSE English and achieved a grade 9 in my own GCSE English Language. I also achieved an A in A-level English Literature and was a consistently high achieving student. I am also currently studying social science in a top university equipping me with a lot of essay writing and exam knowledge. I'm offering lessons to those who are studying at GCSE level English Language and Literature or A level English Literature.
