About Emma
I have been a qualified teacher for the last 12 years (with a specialism in English) and been a Deputy Headteacher for over four years. I have a passion for teaching and learning and truly believe that education should be accessible for all.
I have privately tutored for years for both primary school pupils and secondary school students, specifically for end of KS2 SATs and English Literature and Language GCSEs. I have had a fantastic success rate with all pupils passing their respective assessments. I am particularly proud of the young people I have worked with whose parents entrusted me with their child's learning when they were struggling with passing their literature and language papers at GCSE level, as they all passed.
I tutor because I want all children to enjoy learning and to overcome any barriers they may face to different topics and subjects. Confidence and self-belief is key and I believe I truly instil that quiet confidence in all my pupils.
