About Hope
Hi, my name is Hope and I am looking forward to tutoring GCSE English students this year. I am currently on a gap year for personal study before I attend university next year, which means I am very flexible with my time and will work to be available whenever is best for you.
I have a range of experience, having tutored 5 students over the last 2 years up to GCSE level, where they consistently improved their marks by 2 grades during our tutoring.
My qualifications include x10 grades 8-9 at GCSE and grades A*AAA at A-level.

Students I tutor find it beneficial when we focus on essay structuring, working on honing their ability to quickly and confidently write strong essays, incorporating their own original ideas.
Alongside this focus, we engage in discussion-based activities to prompt ideas and strengthen their abilities to identify and concisely analyse techniques in order to access the highest marks.
Most importantly, I create a friendly, low-pressure environment where I recognise that there can be no mistakes in English. This helps students to grow in confidence because the gap people face is almost always in confidence, rather than capability.
