About Dia
Having grown up and travelled overseas, I developed a love for learning languages, particularly French, and enjoy helping others cultivate the same passion. I studied both French (grade 9) and Spanish (grade 6) at GCSE level and continued French at A-Level. I understand the challenges of learning a new language, so I encourage making mistakes as a natural part of progress, allowing us to learn and improve together. For work experience, I was a French Teaching Assistant, where I supported secondary students in Years 8–11 to strengthen their language skills and build confidence. I encouraged students to engage in speaking through roleplay. I also provided feedback on written work to help improve accuracy and fluency, and enjoyed seeing students grow in both confidence and results over time.

The key to learning French is moving beyond textbooks. I focus on applying knowledge effectively through past papers, practice questions, and flashcard vocabulary in order to be fully prepared for exams. Dia is incredibly reliable and always go the extra mile to make sure I truly understand the material instead of just memorising it. Even when I felt stuck she kept me motivated and supported me so that I could get through it.
