About HP
I am a current A-Level student at a leading secondary school, currently studying for 4 A-levels, having achieved 11 A* at GCSE level.
I would like to teach as I feel I gained a real passion and understanding of Mathematics during my period of GCSE study, and I would love to spread this passion, and to help others to reach the same level of understanding I have in this area.

My personal style of teaching is one that guides the student through the topic in a systematic way of increasing difficulty that keeps them challenged yet also ensures a secure understanding of the topic. I tend to start a new topic with basic examples to establish a solid foundation, before gradually advancing the difficulty depending on the student's understanding. I also provide the student with many practice questions of the topic for them to either work on in our sessions, or in the days in-between. I tend to let students work through questions independently and rather than directly correcting their errors, allow them to recheck their working to encourage active checking and rectification of errors.
The typical length of a lesson can range from 30 minutes to an hour, whichever time best suits my clients needs, however I would advise 40 minutes+ to have time to consolidate new knowledge learnt in the session. I have previous experience tutoring younger students in Mathematics at my secondary school and would like the opportunity to spread the passion I gained from teaching to more levels.
My lessons are for any student up to GCSE level in Mathematics and Further Mathematics. The main board I work with is Edexcel, however I can adapt my lesson material depending on your individual student's needs.
