I am a dedicated and experienced cellist and teacher. Learning an instrument requires patience, commitment and imagination and I thoroughly enjoy teaching students how to make great music and how to practise efficiently between lessons.

- How much do you charge?
For lessons at student's home:
£60 per hour lesson
(Fee is inclusive of travel cost within Zones 1-5)
Consultation lessons are the same price as a 1 hour lesson.
- Where do you teach?
I currently teach at my students' homes and am happy to travel within London (Zones 1-5) including Notting Hill, Holland Park, Shepherds Bush, Chiswick, Hammersmith, Victoria, Sloane Square, Kensington and Chelsea, Earls Court, Clapham, Dulwich, Herne Hill, Beckenham, Bromley and Kent.
- When are you available?
I am a freelance musician so can be flexible with days and times. With the nature of my work there may be weeks where I need to rearrange the day or time but will always make up lessons and am completely committed to my student's progress.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
Cello: I teach all ages and abilities from complete beginner up to professional level.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I am happy to prepare my students for any qualification. I am most experienced with teaching ABRSM but can be flexible to suit the student's needs.
Goals are important so I like to organise informal performances for my pupils to work towards if they wish to perform whatever they have been working on.
- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
I would be happy to teach cello online via Skype to supplement lessons in person.

- What kind of experience do you have?
I have been playing the cello for over twenty years and have been busy performing and teaching professionally for the past twelve.
I currently teach at Old Palace School and past positions include String Animateur at Langley Park School for Boys and Cello Teacher at The Study School, Portland Place School, Highbury Grove and Stretford Grammar Schools. When studying for my Masters I taught for the Trafford Music Service which involved individual, small group and whole class lessons.
Since then I have taught privately, with pupils achieving ABRSM distinctions, entrance into the Halle Youth Orchestra and successful applications to Chetham's School of Music.

I play regularly with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra and am a Musician in Residence for Live Music Now!

I am a member of the Musicians' Union.

Student successes include achieving ABRSM Distinctions, acceptance into Chethams School of Music and gaining positions in the HallÃ© Youth Orchestra and Junior Royal Northern College of Music.
