About Jack
Instead of boasting all my achievements to you, I'd rather assure you of something:
This is about YOU, not me. And I am your equal.
There are no (or shouldn't be) any hierarchies in music. The way I like to see it is this: we're just two people trying work out this beautifully complex instrument together - I'm just a little ahead so I can be the leader.
I will be your mentor and teach you the art of guitar - and that's it. I'll do it however I can, but I will. Don't worry, I'll organise everything for you so that all you have to do is worry about coming to see me, picking up the instrument and having lots of fun!
I don't really do strict, formal training for deadlines. I can if that's what you like though! But for me, it is about just casually showing you the ropes and structuring, restructuring and restructuring still so that I give a true person-centred approach!

I have played music for 15+ years now and have been a qualified tech man for almost 5. I can not only teach you the instrument to a great level, I can also offer all my scientific knowledge and help you REALLY understand your instrument so you can get the best out of the guitar when you want to play live and play with groups. (The most exciting part!)
My lessons will be an hour in length, wherever you choose. That could be my house, your house, somewhere else - wherever you feel most comfortable!!
I have a BSc in Music Technology & Production graded 2:1. Some of this included modules on music theory and live performance. Speaking of performance, I play and engineer live shows on the regular too. So rest assured I'd have a lot of knowledge to give you. I have a natural inclination to teaching and have worked with more musicians than I can even remember, dealing with all different personalities and needs, so I can adapt.
My lessons are for people of any age. I have the patience of a saint, so DO NOT worry about struggling with some bits! I'm a kind, humble, gentle and caring person and most importantly remember my own beginnings.
