About Jiyu
Hi! I am a 3rd year undergraduate student at Georgia Institute of Technology, located in Atlanta, majoring in Industrial Engineering. Our prestigious Georgia Tech H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering is the #1 Ranked Undergraduate Program in the United States for over 28 consecutive years.
As a current student at Georgia Tech with a perfect 4.0 GPA (Dean's List, Faculty Honors), in terms of my high school profile, I have an IB Diploma with perfect scores in the Higher Level (Math A&A, Chemistry, Physics) in addition to an AP Scholar with Distinction, receiving perfect scores for over 7 AP exams- all that I have self studied for. Not only having taught myself, I have had over 25+ students since being a freshman in High School with years of experience- I can 100% guarantee the students no longer struggle with their subjects once they are with me. Teaching is a great passion of mine, and it's always fun being able share my interests with others.

My lessons are mainly intended for high school students from Grade 8 to 12 for Math and Sciences (Chemistry, Physics), where I use the curriculum from British Columbia, Canada. With experience in AP/IB exams and university/college courses, I am also available to tutor specific AP/IB courses as well as university level Calculus, Linear Algebra, and the list goes on. Feel free to pop a message for details- I cover quite extensively when it comes to tutoring, so it can't hurt to ask specifically which subjects I can help with! :)
My teaching style is focused on a foundation of active recall rather than taking notes, where I tutor in a conversational matter to create an engaging lesson. A typical lesson plan would go from revising previous material for a quarter of the time, helping the student with clarifications in addition to ensuring the student understands the material, with the rest of the lesson focusing on new material. I am confident in my ability to communicate with my students clearly and guide them to understand scientific and mathematical concepts. If a student also requires aid with homework/projects/labs, in addition to university/college applications, I am available as well.
