About Aimée

I have acheived a Grade 8 qualification in the clarinet, having completed the previous grades, as well as several other graded examinations in other musical disciplines. I lead the clarinet section at my school orchestra, and absolutely love my instrument. I perform at various concerts, and I enjoy playing classical and jazz music the most.
I hope to pass on my passion and love for the instrument to any prospective players!

I currently teach a few other pupils recorder and clarinet, and very willing to tailor classes to the exact needs and wants of the pupil- I understand that not everyone wants to do exams, and some are just interested in learning to play a fantastic instrument!

About the lesson

I strongly believe, and understand from personal experience that each musician learns differently. Some prefer to read music, others prefer to play by ear. I seek to encourage the development of both during lessons, as well as providing a fun, simple and musical approach to playing the clarinet.

I hope that my classes will encourage them to not only study the pieces that we look at in lesson, but to explore what other things they might want to learn, and look into what really excites them as a player.

**Lessons are 30 minutes each, and are tailored to the pupil's needs.**

Perfect! Aimee is a really good tutor! She is very methodical and efficient in her approach and really has grappled with my difficulties in fingering and embouchure control of the clarinet. With several lessons I feel already that I've made good progress! I thoriughly recommend Aimee as a clarinet tutor!

Lynn-Ora is a fantastically enthusiastic player, whose love for music really shines through their playing. Lynn-Ora is fantastic at playing by ear, and with some dedicated practise and running through of the basics again, I look forward to hearing all that is to come of their musical endeavours!

Perfect! Aimee is completely lovely in every way; patient & intuitive, clearly an expert musician herself & very professional, she handles a confident six year old very well. I wanted my daughter to learn to play my clarinet, however she could hardly carry it. So, Aimee suggested we started with recorder - of course! Everyone starts with recorder! Sofia can play melodies, with the backing tracks that Aimee provided. She knows her notes & really likes going to her lessons. cannot thank Aimee enough, for being a positive first experience for my daughter, of a fab music teacher. x
