I structure lessons around building strong verb foundations, since this underpins most GCSE and A-Level marks. I start with a 5-minute warm-up conjugating verbs relevant to that day’s topic, then spend 15-20 minutes teaching a specific grammar point in depth — such as preterite vs imperfect, subjunctive triggers, or ser/estar — using clear rules and contrasting examples. We then apply it through targeted exercises and past paper questions, correcting errors as they arise. I finish with a short verb drill or written task using the new structure, so the student leaves with practical, exam-ready accuracy.
