About Sofia
I’m a friendly and experienced sixth-form student at The Latymer School, currently studying English Literature, Philosophy & Religion, and Media Studies, with predicted final grades of A*, A*, A. At GCSE, I achieved mostly grades 7–8 (equivalent to A–A*), including grade 8s in both English Literature and English Language. In my Year 6 SATs, I achieved top scaled scores of 120 in Reading, 120 in SPaG, and 117 in Maths; and scored top marks in my 11+ grammar school examination. With a strong interest in becoming a teacher and previous experience working with kids, I’m confident I would be a supportive and effective tutor for your child!

I offer 1:1 SATs and English / Verbal and Non-Verbal reasoning 11+ preparation for Years 5–6, specialising in SPaG and reading comprehension. I tailor each session to the student’s level to build confidence and understanding. Using guided reading, reciprocal teaching, vocabulary building, and mini quizzes and games, I aim to make your child enthusiastic about their learning. Lessons are typically one hour long, and the possibility of short homework tasks being set can be decided by parents.
