Looking back on my career so far, one thing has been true every step of the way: networking and LinkedIn have played a role in every job I've landed. I've never been someone who simply submits an application and hopes for the best. Instead, I make an effort to build genuine relationships with people in my industry, stay in touch with former colleagues, and reach out to professionals whose careers I admire. LinkedIn has become much more than an online resume for me. It's a place where I can share my experiences, celebrate milestones, and connect with people who have opened doors I never would have found on my own. Some of my biggest opportunities started with a simple message or a conversation that turned into a lasting professional relationship.
I've learned that people are much more willing to help when you've taken the time to build trust and show a genuine interest in their work. Those connections have led to referrals, interviews, mentorship, and ultimately every position I've held. My experience has taught me that qualifications get you considered, but relationships get you remembered. Because of that, networking has become one of the most valuable skills I've developed, and I know it will continue to shape my career for years to come
