About Milly
I have always been inspired by learning new things. I find it exciting and it gives me confidence to be able to understand complex subjects. I would love it if everyone felt the same way I do about learning, even when it is hard and frustrating I am willing to show and guide them into loving it again. The best feeling I have experienced academically is sitting down in front of an exam paper and knowing I am confident in what it is asking and what I am answering with. This is a feeling of not just confidence, but also pride in yourself for knowing you can achieve what you originally thought you couldn't. I aspire to help anyone reach that. I thought the jump from GCSE to A-level was extremely difficult and I really struggled in my first year. I actually needed tutoring myself in order to get up to speed with how different it was, so I know how it feels to be stuck. I aim to help students the way I was helped, and watch them succeed further than they thought they could.

As a private tutor, I bring a personalised and student-centred approach to every lesson. With A-levels in Psychology (A*), Chemistry (A), Biology (A), and Spanish (C), I understand the challenges of balancing diverse subjects and achieving success. My recent graduation in Biomedical Science and my upcoming Master's in Medical Microbiology reflect my dedication to learning and staying at the forefront of my field. I tailor my teaching to suit each student’s unique learning style—whether they thrive on visual aids, interactive practice, or in-depth discussions. By identifying strengths and addressing areas for improvement, I ensure every session is productive and confidence-building, helping students reach their full potential. I have loads of experience with all kinds of exams, with my degree mainly focusing on essays. If you feel my approach is right for you, please contact me and I will arrange a meeting. It is good for you to feel happy and comfortable with me as your tutor, so I prefer to have a free session first to get to know you and vice versa. Thank you! :)
