About Sami
I graduated with a First in BSc Medical Science in 2023. During my GCSEs I earned 9A*s and in my A Levels I earned A*AA in Biology, Chemistry and Maths. I have 2.5 years experience, having helped over 50 students in that time. I offer Maths, Biology and Chemistry tuition for Year 7 to Year 11 students. I'm a specialist in preparing students for their GCSEs. Almost all of my students meet or exceed their predicted GCSE grades.
I know the new 9-1 GCSE specification very well. Having done all of the past papers myself, I know exactly what the examiners are looking for in your answers, so I will coach you on how to gain all the marks for each type of question.
By the time we have spent a few months together, your understanding will have improved greatly.

There are 3 steps to succeeding in your subjects: Understanding, Memorisation and Exam Technique. I will take you through each of these steps in turn, ensuring that you leave our lessons with an excellent knowledge of your subjects.
Firstly: Understanding. I teach using online notes and resources, incorporating diagrams where possible. I make sure the resources I use are of the highest quality possible.
Secondly: Memorisation. The more you use your knowledge, the better it is retained. Therefore, I regularly test the student's knowledge through the lesson. I use homework videos to further reinforce the information.
Finally, we will go through practice questions in order to fine-tune your exam technique. I make good use of past papers and topic tests. Last year, my students did every single past paper, meaning they were well-prepared going into the exam.
I'm very familiar with KS3 and GCSE curriculums. I have experience teaching a wide range of exam boards, including AQA, OCR, Edexcel and WJEC.
At the start of a typical lesson, we'll agree on a plan. You're free to suggest any topics you want. I make sure my students are involved in the decision process. During the lesson, I ask you lots of questions to test your knowledge. At the end, I give out the homework, and we plan for the next lesson.
We will set time-specific goals, so the student has already achieved their target grade by the time their exam comes around.
