About Carmen
Hello! I’m Carmen, a Spanish teacher from Cádiz, Spain, with a genuine passion for languages, teaching and cultural exchange.
I have a degree in English Studies and a Master’s degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE). I have some teaching experience with learners—from beginner to advanced levels—and I have worked with students of different ages and learning goals.
As a teacher, I believe that learning a language should be useful, engaging and connected to real life. My lessons are adapted to each student, whether you want to gain confidence speaking Spanish, improve your grammar and vocabulary, prepare for an exam, or simply understand the Spanish language and the Hispanic culture better.
Being from Cádiz also allows me to bring my own perspective on Andalusian Spanish and culture into my lessons, while helping students become familiar with the variety of Spanish they may encounter in real-life situations.
I am patient, approachable and committed to creating a relaxed environment where you can make mistakes, ask questions and gradually build confidence in Spanish. I would love to help you enjoy the process of learning Spanish!

My lessons are personalized to each student’s level, goals and interests. I use a communicative, practical approach focused on helping students understand and use Spanish in real-life situations. I combine conversation, listening, vocabulary, grammar and cultural content through engaging activities and authentic materials.
Lessons usually last 60 minutes, although this can be adapted to the student’s needs. I have a degree in English Studies and a Master’s degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE), as well as practical experience teaching Spanish at different levels.
I teach young adults and adults, from beginners to advanced learners (A1–C2), including students who want to improve their general Spanish, conversation, grammar, pronunciation, or prepare for exams such as DELE or SIELE. I also adapt lessons to students who are learning Spanish for travel, work or personal reasons.
