About Georgina
My name is Georgina and I am 25 years old. Growing up, I always found school fascinating. The subjects I teach of English, History and Geography are in my view the building blocks of our understanding. Geography teaches us how to understand the natural world, History teaches us how to understand the past, and English teaches us how to understand each other. I believe teaching to be the passing on of knowledge: it is my goal that as my student you will not just learn a subject with the short term goal of succeeding in your exams (although this is a definite perk!), but that by engaging in the subject with a deeper interest, you will properly understand its content, and thus will be able to write an informed argument in relation to the topic based on your own interest, passion and understanding of the subject you will gain from my teaching.

My lessons aim to improve the student's writing skills, essay structure and ability to form convincing arguments in their writing, with the goal of preparing students successfully for their exams. I offer lessons which are a minimum of one hour, in which the focus is predominantly on helping students improve their writing technique, and to teach students how to properly understand the topic, so they can successfully form a concise and evidence based argument within an essay structure.
This approach is tailored to help students improve their exam technique so they can obtain good grades under the time pressure of examinations.
