About Katie
My background in teaching is quite unique! While I do not hold a teaching degree from university, my experience with students is vast. I have taught a variety of subjects to homeschoolers, from Italian to science. I taught refugees Italian while I studied abroad in Siena, Italy. I also taught Sienese high schoolers English. I have taught learners from very different backgrounds, and I want my students to know their success is important to me!

I am an upbeat, excited teacher who loves to help students understand the content I teach. My lessons will be a mixture of lectures, continual dialogue, and fun activities like playing games and listening to music! It is critical to speak throughout the class in order to learn a language. Each student will be speaking during the lesson, so they can practice their English and really start to learn the language. I am happy to teach students of all ages, but I do have most experience with a younger demographic of learners.
