About Caoimhe
• I gained skills in short term and long-term planning, using the CCEA Primary curriculum to plan for pupil progression while reflecting on the needs of pupils and differentiating to meet different abilities.
• I trialled a range of different teaching, behaviour management and classroom management strategies to promote the best and most engaging learning environment for pupils.
• I developed an understanding of the importance of relationships with other professionals within schools and all those in the school community to create and foster a positive ethos for pupils.
• During the covid pandemic I learned to adapt my practice to best suit the needs of learners, developing my skills in using ICT during remote learning to prepare asynchronous lessons to ensure pupils were engaged during a period of ‘home learning’
• I learned to reflect on and develop my own classroom practice in Line with the core values outlined in the GTCNI’s The Reflective Practitioner (2007)
• I developed my skills in understanding the role of teachers in creating IEPs for pupils with individual needs, and planning to promote an inclusive and exciting learning environment for pupils.
• During placement I developed an understanding of the importance of a work/life balance and time management skills which can help teachers to work effectively and minimise workplace stress.

I have recently graduated from St Mary's University College with a Bachelor of Education in Primary Teaching with English.
As a qualified teacher I have experience teaching at both Primary and Secondary Level and have completed all necessary Access NI checks
I am currently offering tuition to primary school pupils preparing for the Transfer Test (AQE and GL), and for secondary school pupils preparing for GCSEs/ALevels in English Literature and English Language.
I will also be offering sessions for pupils who need extra support in areas of Literacy and Numeracy in Foundation Stage, Key Stages 1, 2 and 3 (P1-Year 10).
