About Bethany
I am a 26 year old Kindergarten Teacher in Columbus, OH, and this is my fifth year of teaching. In 2019, I graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education with a 4-5 Generalist Endorsement and a Minor in Spanish for Educators. Even before teaching, I always had some sort of job working in a daycare, preschool, nannying, or tutoring. I have always had a passion for working with children and helping them reach their goals and feel successful. I want every student to feel seen and met where they are. I want children to find joy in learning and to look forward to learning new things.

I will be creating lessons for elementary aged students (specifically grades k-2). The lessons I teach are personalized for each student and cater to their specific needs. We will address their strengths and weaknesses and use those to determine preferred learning styles, especially being that these lessons will be online. For elementary students, I like to include brain breaks and a lot of visuals and hands-on learning to maintain student engagement. I find that students have a better time remembering content when it is paired with songs/music, hand motions/sign language, and visual aides. I want to help each child succeed and meet their goals - some students just need that extra help and I hope to be that for them.
