About Dominic
Hello! I'm Dominic, a Philosophy graduate with a strong passion for teaching and helping students succeed. My academic background has equipped me with excellent critical thinking, communication, and analytical skills. My lessons are well-structured and tailored to each student's needs. I begin by assessing their current understanding, explain concepts using simple examples, provide guided practice, and conclude each session with a review and feedback to reinforce learning. And I specialize in Philosophy, Ethics, Logic, Research, and other Humanities-related subjects. I can also assist students with academic writing, research papers, presentations, and study techniques. My lessons are suitable for high school and college students who want to improve their academic performance, strengthen their critical thinking skills, and gain confidence in their studies.

As a tutor, I believe that learning is most effective when students understand the concepts rather than simply memorize information. I encourage critical thinking by asking questions, connecting lessons to real-life situations, and creating an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and expressing their ideas. My teaching approach is student-centered and interactive. I begin by assessing the student's current understanding of the topic, then explain concepts in a clear and organized manner using simple examples. I also use discussions, guided practice, and short assessments to monitor progress. A typical lesson starts with a brief review of previous topics, followed by an introduction to the new lesson and its objectives. I explain the concepts step by step, provide examples and exercises, encourage questions throughout the session, and end with a short quiz or recap to ensure the student has understood the lesson. My background in Philosophy and my formation in the seminary have strengthened my communication, patience, discipline, and critical thinking skills. During my teaching internship, I learned how to present lessons clearly and engage students in meaningful discussions. I can tutor high school and college students, particularly in Philosophy, Ethics, Logic, Research, Social Sciences, and related Humanities subjects. I can also assist students with academic writing, research papers, presentations, and study strategies.
