About Lichen
I began his violin studies at the age of 7. I have won many awards at international violin competitions, including the second prize of the Best Wieniawski Performance Competition, the Hong Kong International Violin Competition, and the Gold Medal at the 2019 Japan International Violin Competition. I completed my Royal Birmingham Conservatoire undergraduate degree under Professor Nathaniel Vallois and now studying at Guildhall School of Music and Drama with scholarship. I have been coached by many internationally renowned violinists including Robert Kabara and Pierre Amoyal, Oliver Wille, Tamsin Waley-Cohen, Jennifer Pike, Leland Chen, etc. I was a member of Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Symphony Orchestra and CBSO Youth Orchestra and performed in Birmingham Symphony Hall. I have extensive performance experience, and has assisted renowned violinist Daisy Jopling, pianist Giovanni Marradi, and the Bonn Symphony Orchestra of Germany.

As a violin musician trained at one of the world's leading conservatories, I have mastered the most advanced international violin teaching methods. I am able to tailor my teaching programme to each student's characteristics and needs, helping them to progress in an enjoyable way. Although learning the violin can be difficult, I will help students to overcome the difficulties with my humorous and fun teaching style. Whether you are a beginner or a student with some basic knowledge, I can help you move forward on your musical journey.
