About Jonathan
I'm a senior Automotive Interior Designer with over 15 years experience in Luxury Vehicle Design. I'm passionate and knowledgeable about all things design and given my experience at the Royal College of Art, I positively encourage individuals to explore their own methodology providing them with the confidence and tools to deliver high level designs. I've worked on everything from production interiors, concept car interiors, product design and beyond and firmly believe in having an open mind to new challenges and making things better. We live in ever-changing and dynamic times and the question of what comes next has never been more stimulating. I have extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Autodesk CAD software and prototyping techniques including 3D printing, machining and clay modelling. I can provide tutorials for up-skilling for students starting to explore their interest in design, or guidance for under-graduates or post-graduates in how to optimise project potential and build the narrative for the customer journey.

I treat tutoring as a means of collaboration in order to stimulate open discussion, ideation and creativity. I will guide students in creating a strong narrative for their projects and give precise input on how to approach the design process in order to produce high quality designs beautifully realised and presented. Lessons can be anything up to 90mins but I'm flexible in my approach and also offer 30 or 60 minute sessions depending on students workflow requirements. The focus is to guide students to optimize their creative output at all times appropriating their design work to the project brief and establish meaningful next steps. We will focus on presentation techniques such as sketching and rendering, CAD modelling and visualization, as well as co-ordinating high impact presentation materials. It will hugely productive and most importantly a tremendous amount of fun!
