About Nordia
Hi, I am your teacher Nordia.
I believe every student can become a confident, capable reader with the right guidance, practice, and support. So, I am here.
I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all reading. We start by figuring out exactly where you are and what you need next. For younger learners, we build strong foundations in phonics, fluency, and vocabulary.
For junior and senior high students, we work on comprehension strategies: summarizing, making inferences, finding evidence, and understanding author’s purpose.
For college students and adults, we tackle academic articles, research reading, and how to read faster without losing meaning.
I teach you the how behind reading. I’ll model it, we’ll practice it together, and then you’ll do it on your own. Small wins matter here. Every time you understand a difficult paragraph or finish a chapter you thought was “too hard,” that’s proof that you’re growing.

As a tutor, I believe reading is not just about decoding words on a page. It is about unlocking meaning, building confidence, and teaching students how to think with the text. My role is to be both a guide and a coach: I model strategies, practice them with the student, and then help them use those skills independently.
