I am a teacher of five years (TEFL 3 years + Secondary 2 years) with experience in related fields such as martial arts coaching, care work and mentoring.
I am committed to and passionate about working with young people, and am on my own journey of becoming an experienced International School IB teacher/examiner.

I believe responsive and adaptive teaching is the greatest advantage of individual tutoring over class based learning. My tutoring will be targeted on areas of development within the subject, and based on your own self-assessment as well as my professional evaluation of your work.
I have worked as a teacher abroad and tutored students privately as well as for a major English teaching company. I now work as a teacher in a disadvantaged area and am familiar with the GCSE and A-Level marking criteria as I work as a marker for AQA.
I can promise sessions which are light hearted and laid back in atmosphere, while still being focused and efficient. I will coach attitude and preparation towards examination as much as course material, as I believe that taking the anxiety out of exams can be as important as mastering the course content.
