About Sonnie
I have recently graduated the University of Leeds with a BA in music, achieving a 2:1. I developed a strong passion for music in my late teenage years, making me a late-starter but despite this I was able to quickly develop and fine-tune my playing through a mixture of self-taught and teacher-led sessions. It is through my own accelerated journey I am able to provide a easily consumed curriculum that prioritises continued engagement (and thus ease of practice) over a purely technical, structured curriculum which can often leave students feeling stagnated in their development.

I provide flexible time slots to suit your schedule and length of lessons to suit your availability. Lessons consist of a theoretical groundwork which is built upon with practical and interpretive practices such as the development of fingering techniques, the use of appropriate scales and how to mould your guitar tone. My lessons are fairly student-led meaning I will adapt the learning material to best suit the content the students want to learn and what level they are currently playing at. Lessons are available for all ages from beginner to intermediate skill levels on acoustic, electric and bass guitar.
