About Megan
I want to teach because I benefited from excellent teachers and support, which has helped me achieve academically, professionally, and form strong personal connections. It is incredibly rewarding helping young people grow in confidence and discover their strengths. Teaching gives me the chance to support not just academic progress, but personal development — helping students understand not only what they’re learning, but why it matters to them. With my background in caregiving, I’ve seen the impact of patience, care, and encouragement, and I want to bring that same approach to education. Teaching allows me to make a meaningful difference.

I focus on helping children and young people develop the skills to plan and take control of their learning. I encourage them to set clear goals, understand what they need to achieve, and recognise why their efforts matter—fostering both motivation and a sense of purpose. With strong academic qualifications from the University of Bristol (History) and the University of Oxford (Archaeology), I have had a successful career to date in Consultancy (diplomacy and heritage in Commonwealth countries) and I am a published author. I also have a background in caregiving, so I bring patience, empathy, and a thoughtful approach to every session. I will build confidence and create a calm, supportive, and kind environment.
