About Caitlin
I graduated from the University of Oxford with an Upper Second Class Honours in English Language and Literature in 2024, but my journey there was quite unusual! I remember feeling completely stumped in English classes at school, and it wasn't until I felt comfortable in my own opinions and feelings on texts that I really felt confident in my abilities. I would love to inspire these same feelings in students of my own.
My love of literature, especially poetry, and working with young people, has led me to begin accepting tutees.

I believe that literature is for everyone to enjoy! My approach to teaching is relaxed and focused on making texts feel truly engrossing.
With a background in emotionally supporting children aged 11-18, I offer a safe, non-judgemental space to learn. I also have an enhanced DBS certificate.
Additionally, I'm looking to support students with university applications!

Caitlin is a wonderful teacher. She is bright, attentive, and always happy to help. She is extremely well-read and has an in-depth knowledge of all eras of English Literature. She is academically strong, having gone to Oxford, but can still explain things very simply. I recommend her.
